The Gist

Under 6.5

▸Barkov and Marchand are both sidelined for Florida, so -148 is paying for a thinner top six than the name on the front of the jersey suggests.
▸Will Smith leads San Jose with 3 points and 2 goals, while Celebrini's 3 assists show the Sharks can create even with Barre-Boulet, Musty, and Lund on Injured Reserve.
▸Florida's top scorer, Luostarinen, has just 2 points, and Cagnoni's overtime winner in the season opener was a one-goal game, so a 6.5 total asks for more scoring than either side has shown.
