▸CJ Baxter's 16 carries for 149 yards (9.3 per carry) with 1 TD lets Kentucky grind out possessions and shorten the game.
▸Kenny Minchey's 19-of-25 for 177 yards and 1 TD shows efficiency without needing a big passing volume, so the offense doesn't have to chase points.
▸Jared Hollins threw for 266 yards and 2 TDs on 43 attempts for South Alabama, but his 2 interceptions are the swing factor that could keep the margin from reaching 21 points.
