The Gist

Under 51.5

▸Virginia Tech's -11.5 didn't hold up: Cal beat them 25-20 in a comeback, so the favorite never got the margin it was laying.
▸Ashten Emory's 2 rushing TDs on 19 carries for 46 yards carried Cal's ground game, while Jackson Brousseau's 321 passing yards and 1 TD kept the Bears in it.
▸The final score of 25-20 totals 45 points, under the 51.5 posted, and Ethan Grunkemeyer's 288 yards for VT still didn't produce enough scoring to reach the number.
