The Gist

Under 45.5, since a 21.5-point spread with a modest Oklahoma ground game points

▸John Mateer's 238 yards and 2 interceptions on 19-of-25 passing show efficiency, but his turnover risk is a concern when Oklahoma is laying 21.5.
▸Lloyd Avant's 27 yards on 8 carries means Oklahoma's ground game is not a reliable way to bury New Mexico early.
▸Toa Fa'avae managed only 79 yards on 4-of-10 passing for New Mexico, and Adepoju Adebawore's 1.5 sacks give the Sooners a pass-rush edge to keep it that way.
