The Gist

Under 51.5

▸Colson managed just 52 yards on 6-of-12 passing for UTEP, so the Miners had little way to push the total up.
▸Lloyd Avant (15 carries, 79 yards, 1 TD) and John Mateer (11-of-17, 225 yards, 3 TD) gave Oklahoma a balanced attack that didn't need to force the pace.
▸Isaiah Sategna III's 4 catches for 76 yards and a score gave OU a second threat in the passing game, which makes a 40-plus margin believable but still steep at -40.5.
