The Gist

Lean Under 11

▸Arizona at -168 implies about a 63% win probability, a steep price to pay when Merrill Kelly is the only starter the favorite can lean on.
▸Corbin Burnes is on the 15-Day IL, and Tyler Locklear, Ryan Thompson, A.J. Puk and Andrew Saalfrank are all on the 60-Day IL, which thins Arizona's depth behind Kelly.
▸Colorado is missing Kris Bryant, Chase Dollander and Pierson Ohl on the 60-Day IL and Willi Castro on the 10-Day IL, so an 11-run total fits two shorthanded lineups and staffs.
