The Gist

Under 8, with the Marlins' thinned lineup the reason

▸The Dodgers at -168 imply about a 63% win probability, so the price already carries most of the edge before first pitch.
▸Miami is missing Owen Caissie (10-Day-IL) and Jakob Marsee (Out) alongside Max Meyer and Anthony Bender on the 15-Day-IL, which thins the bats behind Tyler Phillips.
▸With Tyler Glasnow opposite a short-handed Marlins group, a total of 8 looks like it already accounts for a Los Angeles pitching edge, so the Under is the more reasonable side to take.
