The Gist

Cubs moneyline, but only if you accept the steep -189 price.

▸At -189, Chicago has to win about 65 of every 100 such games just to break even, which leaves little margin for error.
▸Pittsburgh is missing Mitch Keller (60-Day-IL), Braxton Ashcraft (15-Day-IL), Esmerlyn Valdez (10-Day-IL), and Isaac Mattson (15-Day-IL), so Wilber Dotel has thin depth behind him.
▸Alex Bregman's 25th homer led a 12-2 Cubs win that ended a 4-game skid, but Justin Steele and Shelby Miller are on the 60-Day-IL, so Chicago's pitching depth is also thin.
